Inverstigation of the effect of work stress and burnout on intention to left by structural equality modeling in healthcare professionals

The current outbreak of epidemic diseases and natural disasters induces intense stress among individuals working in the healthcare sector. This situation escalates feelings of burnout and, consequently, triggers intentions to leave their jobs. In this context, the examination of these prevailing factors has directed researchers towards conducting an in-depth investigation in this field. The primary objective of the study is to determine the effects of job stress and burnout perception on the intention to leave the job and to contribute to the existing literature in this area. In this framework, healthcare professionals employed at Mardin Education and Research Hospital constitute the sample of the research. In the study, contact was made with a total of 320 employees, yet 7 individuals were excluded from the study due to incomplete information. A total of 313 surveys were collected using both face-to-face and online survey methods. The collected data were analyzed using the structural equation model through the SPSS program and prepared for interpretation. The findings of the study reveal that the participants' job stress and burnout perception have a significant impact on the intention to leave their jobs. These results shed light on the role of challenges faced by healthcare sector workers and their associated emotional conditions in shaping their intentions to leave their jobs.
