Abstract (EN)

This study is a descriptive and relationship-seeking type study conducted to examine the effect of individual happiness of healthcare professionals on their assertive behavior. The study principles were created by individuals who volunteered to participate from healthcare professionals of Sivas Numune Hospital, Sivas State Hospital and Sivas Cumhuriyet University Hospital. The data of the study were collected using the Personal Information Form, Oxford Happiness Scale (OMS), Rathus Assertiveness Scale (RAS). IBM SPSS Statistics version 23.0 program was used to evaluate the data. According to the results of the study, this study examined the relationships between the demographic characteristics, assertiveness levels and happiness perceptions of healthcare professionals. The majority of healthcare workers are women, married and university graduates, and it has been observed that they are generally satisfied with their jobs and feel successful in their jobs. A positive relationship was found between the level of assertiveness and happiness, revealing that assertiveness positively affects individuals' perception of happiness. In particular, it has been determined that the majority of healthcare professionals love their profession and therefore experience professional satisfaction. However, high workload and intense working conditions negatively affected professional satisfaction. In addition, it has been observed that individuals who receive social support have higher happiness levels. This shows that social support mechanisms play an important role in the psychological well-being of healthcare professionals. When the literature was scanned, it was observed that almost all of the studies were on nursing and midwifery, and even most of these studies were on students. The purpose of starting the study was to include other professional groups and reach a wider audience, so all public hospitals in Sivas province created a sample of 300 healthcare personnel vi who participated in the study and the results were shared. It is thought that this study will contribute to the literature in this direction. Key words: Assertiveness, Subjective happiness, healthcare professionals
