The relationship between entrepreneurial intention, unemployment anxiety and hopelessness in health services vocational school senior students

The objective of this study is to establish the correlation between entrepreneurial intentions, unemployment concerns, and hopelessness levels of students and their demographic characteristics. Data were collected from 241 final-year students at Manisa Celal Bayar University Vocational School of Health Services through a questionnaire. The questionnaire comprises two parts. The first part includes scales for measuring entrepreneurial intention, unemployment anxiety, and hopelessness. The second part contains demographic characteristics of the students. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics, difference analyses, and correlation analyses with SPSS software. The correlation analyses revealed significant negative relationships between entrepreneurship intention and both unemployment anxiety and hopelessness. Additionally, a positive relationship was found between unemployment anxiety and hopelessness. The study found that demographic characteristics of students, including age, gender, presence of a family member engaged in trade, mother's and father's education status, completion of entrepreneurship course training, and work experience, had an impact on the mean scores of entrepreneurship intention, job anxiety, and hopelessness scale.
