Abstract (EN)
The healthcare industry is constantly searching for new technology to produce quality healthcare services. One of these technologies is artificial intelligence applications that support the provision of health services more efficiently by increasing the quality of the service provided in health services. Artificial intelligence is defined as a machine that performs human tasks or behaves like human intelligence. In fact, many artificial intelligence technologies are emerging to streamline people's administrative and clinical healthcare processes. These emerging artificial intelligence applications today are rapidly taking their place in the core activities of businesses to improve their performance and perform their functions efficiently on a daily basis. Based on this, this research aims to create a conceptual framework by reviewing current literature on artificial intelligence applications in the business activities of health institutions and to determine the knowledge and optinions of physicians, nurses and administrative personnel working in the health institution regarding artificial intelligence applications. The study consists of four parts. In the first part, the concept of artificial intelligence, its use in healthcare, the advantages and disadvantages of using artificial intelligence in healthcare, and the types of artificial intelligence were discussed. In the second part, the usage areas and importance of artificial intelligence applications in basic business activities of health institutions (human resources, accounting-finance, production, marketing) and artificial intelligence application examples in relevant units are included. The third section contains information about the research method. Finally, the findings obtained as a result of the research were evaluated and suggestions regarding artificial intelligence applications in the business activities of health institutions were presented. A survey form developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool in the study. Descriptive statistical methods (frequency, percentage distribution), Mann-Whiyney U test, Kruskal Wallis-H test and Chi-Square analysis were used to analyze the data. Data were analyzed at 95% confidence level (p=0.05). According to the research findings, in the basic business activities of the participants' health institutions; 44,1% about artificial intelligence applications in human resources, 32,2% about artificial intelligence applications in diagnosing and treating patients from the production activities of health services, and 30,9% about prescribing support system, pharmacy support system and diagnosis-oriented clinical decision support systems, It has been determined that 61.8% of people do not have knowledge about artificial intelligence applications in marketing activities. In addition, the study found that 30,7% of physicians did not have knowledge about artificial intelligence applications in diagnosing and treating patients, and 23,07% did not have knowledge about the prescribing support system, pharmacy support system and diagnosis-oriented clinical decision support systems. Considering these results, it is concluded that although physicians use artificial intelligence applications, it was concluded that their knowledge of the applications was limited.
