Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this thesis is to determine the effects of trust and privacy concerns in health services as well as relational effects with health service providers (family physicians) on the acceptance of new technologies within the framework of the Technology Acceptance Model. For this purpose, the quantitative research method was used as the basis and the universe of the study consisted of participants over the age of 18 who use mobile health applications. Data were collected face-to-face from 911 people with the scenario-based survey method. In the analysis and evaluation process of the data, descriptive statistics, model goodness-of-fit index analyses, reliability analyses, normality distribution analyses, standardized regression coefficients, standard error margins, R² analyses showing the explanatory power of the model, total and indirect effect calculations, factor loading coefficients showing the relationship strength of the variables were examined. Hypothesis tests were carried out using the structural equation model. According to the obtained results, perceived ease of use in the acceptance of new technologies in health services has a strong positive effect on perceived benefit and a weak but positive significant effect on behavioral intention. Perceived benefit has a very strong positive effect on behavioral intention. Trust; has a moderately strong positive effect on perceived usefulness and behavioral intention and a strong positive effect on perceived ease of use. Privacy concerns have a weak negative effect on perceived usefulness, a moderately strong negative effect on behavioral intention and a moderately strong positive effect on perceived ease of use. Satisfaction has a moderately strong positive effect on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use but no significant effect on behavioral intention. Affective commitment has a moderately strong positive and significant effect on perceived usefulness and a moderately strong negative effect on perceived ease of use. The relationship between emotional commitment and behavioral intention is weak and not significant.
