Abstract (EN)

Today, health literacy, self-efficacy and digital transformation are becoming increasingly important in health systems. The relationship between these concepts and their effects on individuals' own health assessments were examined. This study aims to determine the effect of health literacy and digital transformation variables on self-sufficiency and to measure health perception. In order to achieve this goal, it was aimed to measure the contribution of digital transformation in the relationship between health literacy and self-efficacy of literate individuals aged 18 and over who have received treatment at least once in the last year in hospitals in the TRB1 region, and to propose policy proposals along with their individual, social and economic contributions. In line with this goal, data was obtained through face-to-face surveys conducted on 600 individuals. Reliability analysis, explanatory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were performed through the collected data. In addition, the research model was tested using the Structural Equation Model. The scores obtained from the scales used in the study were compared with demographic characteristics. Independent sample t-test was applied to measure the difference between the two groups, and one-way anova test was applied for more than two groups. However, in order to investigate the source of the difference between the groups, the means of the Scheffe test results from post hoc tests were examined. The Sobel test was used to make a more accurate decision on the mediation effect. Sonuç olarak yetişkin bireylerin, sağlık okuryazarlıklarının ve dijital dönüşümlerinin öz yeterliliklerini etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. However, it was concluded that there was a partial mediation effect in the effect of health literacy on self-efficacy, as this effect was determined to decrease with the inclusion of the mediator variable, digital transformation, in the model.
