Evaluation of occupational injuries that health employess exposed to and declaration of them

Our work was done to evaluate the occupational injuries to which health personnel are exposed to and their feedback, and to get the health personnel's attention to the subjectThe research which was planned as descriptive was carried out with the attendance of 169 health personnel who work at Isparta Gülkent State Hospital Health personnel?s individual properties and their properties which are related to their working life and the data which is related to the occupational injuries that the health personnel has experienced during the last one year were collected. Written permission was taken from the hospital and the health personnel.In our work consistent with the literature, the occupational injuries which the health personnel have been exposed to in the last one year were found like this; %67,5 contact with blood or body fluid, %61,5 cutting-drilling equipment injuries, %42,6 violence, %18,3 exposure to allergic reaction, %15,4 muscle skelatal injuries, %8,9 exposure to chemical or medicine, %10,7 poisoning, %3 traffic accident, %4,7 exposure to other accidents.Occupational injuries are assessed in ocupational health and safety; nonetheless, the appliances and developments in the world health sector are signs of importance given to the subject. In developed countries there are no recording systems of occupational injuries in health sector and data of occupational injuries belongs to the health personnel. In our country occupational health and safety appliances have not been applied and necessary attention and interest have not been shown to the subject, either.
