The aim of this study is to determine the burnout levels of healthcare professionals working in a hospital in Van province and to examine the factors leading to burnout syndrome. The study was conducted with 248 healthcare professionals working in a hospital in Van province. Oldenburg Burnout Scale was used to measure the burnout levels of the employees. The findings of the study show that the burnout levels of healthcare professionals are high. In addition, it was revealed that burnout levels were affected by job stress, shift work systems, occupational burdens and work-family life conflict. Especially nurses were found to have higher levels of burnout, and female health workers were found to experience burnout more than male health workers. In addition, it was observed that high stress levels and long working hours increased the burnout levels of healthcare professionals.
