Abstract (EN)

This descriptive study aims to examine the relationship between violence management, turnover intention, and job satisfaction among healthcare professionals in a public hospital. Data were collected using a survey form that included a Demographic Information Form, the Healthcare Professionals' Safety and Trust Against Violence Scale, the Turnover Intention Scale, and the Job Satisfaction Scale. The study's population consisted of all 445 healthcare professionals actively working in a public hospital. No sampling was conducted, and the aim was to reach the entire population. Consequently, the study was conducted with 416 healthcare professionals. The mean scores that participants obtained from the scales were as follows: security sub-dimension 4.65 (sd=2.49), trust sub-dimension 5.99 (sd=2.04), intention to leave 2.44 (sd=0.81), and job satisfaction 3.38 (sd=0.93). Correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were performed to examine the relationship between safety-trust regarding violence, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was performed for the construct validity of the scales. The analysis results showed that the variables were normally distributed, and there was a significant negative correlation between turnover intention and safety (r=-0.14, p<0.01) and job satisfaction (r=-0.55, p<0.01). While the trust variable did not have a significant role in predicting turnover intention (Standardized B= 0.078, p>0.05), the safety variable negatively predicted turnover intention. It has been determined that healthcare professionals exhibit moderate levels of perceived safety and trust, alongside above-average job satisfaction. In conclusion, it is imperative to periodically train healthcare professionals in violence management and to maintain high levels of job satisfaction among them.
