Abstract (EN)
In the provision of health services, the effort of the employees to comply with the rules determined in writing by the workplace by managing their emotions while interacting face-toface with the patients and their relatives is called emotional labor. It is aimed to examine the effects of the applied leadership model on emotional labor in the health sector. It was also tried to determine the differences between the leadership model and emotional labor perceptions of healthcare professionals according to demographic variables. For this purpose; In Bilecik, online survey data answered by all employees, regardless of their role in the health sector, were used. As a result of the questionnaire applied, it was aimed to determine the leadership model perceptions of 381 employees, the levels of the three dimensions of emotional labor and their effects on emotional labor through factor analysis of demographic data. By applying the Mahalanobis criterion before the analysis, it was determined that there was skewness in 41 survey data and they were not taken into consideration, and the study was carried out with 340 survey data. Percentage, frequency, box, independent t-test, Manova and regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data. According to the findings obtained as a result of the research, it was analyzed that the demographic variables specified in the hypotheses did not make a significant difference in the leadership model and emotional labor behaviors, but they created a partial difference in some variables. As the education level increases, the perception of task-oriented leadership and in-depth behavior decreases, while the perception of task-oriented leadership model increases as the number of employees in occupational groups decreases, it has been observed that in deep acting perceptions do not progress inversely with the amount. Regression analysis was applied to measure the effects of six leadership models (Transactional, Transformational, Task-Oriented, Paternalist, Servant and Ethical Leadership) applied in health institutions on the three sub-dimensions of emotional labor, Surface, Deep and Genuine Acting. According to the results obtained, a significant relationship was found between Servant, Ethical and Transactional Leadership models and perceptions of emotional labor.
