Evaluation of financial models in health sector in the axis of city hospitals: Bursa city hospital analysis

Increasing world population; It poses many challenges in food, clean water and energy production. It is getting more difficult for countries to cope with these problems, especially infrastructure investments require huge budgets depending on technological developments. Healthcare financing is among these challenges. In today's world, the importance of financing health services is increasing day by day for all societies and country administrations. Health sector; It is a large social group in which people and institutions providing diagnosis and treatment services in this field, those who want to benefit from these services and the logistics infrastructure providers that provide these services. Many product and service providers are required in order to provide these services without interruption and at the most optimum costs. When we include various sectors that provide the necessary infrastructure support to product and service providers, it will be better understood how important financing is in the healthcare sector. For this reason, the public sector researches and develops various alternative financing models for financing investments of this scale. The most common of these models is the realization of large-scale investment projects by the public sector by establishing various partnerships with the private sector. In this study, Bursa City Hospital, which is one of the large-scale investments made in the field of health with the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model, was examined, the advantages and analysis of the model and its positive effects on the public budget by comparing with similar sample projects in the world were examined. It is hoped that our study will serve as an example in future large-scale projects, especially in terms of its positive effects on public finance and will be beneficial to researchers.
