Özet (EN)

Objective: The aim of this study is to search comparison of aerobic capasity and muscle performance during land and water based High Intensity Interval Training in healthy young people. Method: Fourty-one (41) healty young people (18-25 ages) included this study. Demographic information (age, gender, height, weight, body mass index), aerobic capasity (shuttle run test), core stabilization (60° flexion test, Biering-Sorensen extension test, side plank test) and functional muscle strength (vertical jump test) assesments were performed. Participants separated into three groups shaped like water exercise, land based exercise and control. Water and land based exercise group joined three group sessions of in a week for two weeks in addiction to high intensity interval training. Results: There is mean differences between results of all assesments except vertical jump distance of groups(p<0,05). Core stabilization and aerobic capasity results in water exercises and land based exercises groups was statistical higher than control group. There was no difference between two groups in aerobic capasity and all core stabilization tests (p>0,05) except 60° flexion test(p=0,00). Conclusion: Results show that,short-term high-intesity intermittant exercises are effective on aerobic capasity and muscle performance in healthy young people. There was no difference between measured parameters of exercises performed in water or on land based. Key-words: high intensity intermittant exercises, core stability, aerobic capasity, aqua therapy
