Content assesment of the book of the peacemaking by Sahih Al Bukhari

In our study "Content Assesment of the Book of the Peacemaking by Sahih Al Bukhari" was examined through exegesis and other sources as mentioned in the narrations. The remarks and practices of the Prophet Muhammad (p. b. u. h.) have been endeavoured to put forward in this regard. In the introductory chapter, informations about the subject, purpose, importance and method of our research are given. In the first chapter, the definition of peace, its subject, its place and importance in the Quran, Hadith and history of Islamıc thought are emphasized.Thereafter, the concepts such as "tahkim" (fortification), "silm" (to make peace), "muahada" (treaty), "teharuc" (distribute) which are different variants of the "peace" word, were examined. In the second chapter, the content of the Book of the Peacemaking is evaluated and the viewpoint and practices of the Prophet (p. b. u. h.) have been put forward.
