Abstract (EN)
The religion of Islam consists of two main sources: the Quran and the Sunnah (hadith). While the Quran is the primary source for understanding religion, it cannot be expected to explain every event in depth. The science of hadith contributes to understanding the Quran at this stage. Various methods and approaches have been developed in the literature on hadith usul al-fiqh in the process of correctly understanding hadiths and deriving legal rulings from them. One of the most important of these methods is identifying the esbab al-wurud (the historical and social context) of the narrations, that is, the reason for the narration of the hadith. For knowing the reason, the event, and the context in which a hadith was revealed ensures both a sound understanding of the text and the accuracy of the rulings derived from it. In this context, an examination of the Sahih of Ibn Huzaima, a hadith scholar who lived in the third century AH, reveals that the reasons for the appearance of some hadiths can be determined. An attempt has been made to determine the historical context, the developments surrounding the occurrence of the relevant narrations, and the purpose for which they were revealed. This study also includes a scholarly evaluation of the hadiths. This study aims to analyze the narrations in Ibn Huzaima's Sahih of Ibn Huzaima within the context of reasons for appearance and to subject them to a scholarly evaluation within this framework.
