Reflections of Saîd Halim Pasha's thoughts to the present

Abstract (EN)

Said Halim Pasha's thoughts as an Islamist thinker who took part in the state during the troubled last periods of the Ottoman Empire and who sought out for the state politically and socially constitute the subject and purpose of the study. In order to make the subject more comprehensible and to draw a rough picture of the period, first of all, the social and political events in the last period of the Ottoman Empire and the emerging intellectual movements were mentioned. Then, Said Halim Pasha's duties in the Ottoman Empire, his life, his personality, his ideas and the solutions he tried to bring in order to get rid of the troubles the Ottoman Empire was in and the similarities of these problems with today's problems were mentioned. Within the scope of the study, the concepts of "depression", "imitation" and "Islamization", which Said Halim Pasha emphasized meticulously, constitute the essence of the study.
