Abstract (EN)
Drugs are produced to be durable and have high mobility in the liquid phase for easy drinking and long storage. Due to these properties, the active substances in the drug can accumulate in the ecosystem and cause various negative effects. Many of the medications are resistant to biodegradation, which are given in conventional wastewater treatment plants, but only partially or never. In this study, 13 different pharmaceutical compounds belonging to the drug classes of the most used in the domestic wastewater, superficial and groundwater and the most consumed anti-inflammatory, beta blockers, antiepileptics, stimulant and lidacoine drug classes in Sakarya, Sewage and Waste Water Treatment It is aimed to determine the presence of the plant in the inlet and outlet wastewater. For this purpose, composite samples were taken from the sampling points and analyzed. According to the results of the analysis, it was found that these drug residues were mixed with sewage waters in Sakarya Municipality and some of them were still present at the treatment plant. For this reason, additional treatment units such as ozonation, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, high pressure membrane systems such as reverse osmosis, physical chemical processes and adsorption have been added to the treatment plant.
