A research on the problems of woman entrepreneurs in Sakarya

This research includes the demographic structures of woman entrepreneurs, information on their enterprising activities, the reason of becoming an entrepreneur and their suggestions to women who want to be entrepreneurs. The aim of this study is to determine the socio-cultural and economic profiles, of woman entrepreneurs acting in and around Adapazarı to find but the reasons of their starting their enterprising activities and to determine the subjects about which measures must be taken. The research's example group is consisted of 100 woman entrepreneurs who have offices in and around Adapazarı. 57% of the subjects of this research are occupied with trade and 62% of them refund at least the half of the houses' total expenditure. Nobody 85% objected their ideas on establishing an enterprise an 87% of them have never had a problem due to their being females since they began their activites. Most of the women entrepreneurs (67%) started enterprising to have their own economic freedom and (49%) to refund the family requirements. Mostly their husbands (21%) and their families (28%) supported their ideas in order to establish an enterprise. % 44 of the woman entrepreneurs who participated in the research had the problem of assurance of money during the establishment of business enterprise. 58 % of the entrepreneurs had the problem of providing money due to surviving and growing of the business enterprise. It was designated that there were meaningful relations between the age of entrepreneur and fields of activity and the reasons of prefence to refund the family requirements and there were no other alternatives of the entrepreneurs and the suggestions of the entrepreneurs to the other woman entrepreneurs to do their own job they like. Beside these, it was designated that there was a clear relation between marital status of the entrepreneurs and becoming an entrepreneur to refund the family requirements. There was also a relation between the number of child and providing of money due to surviving and growing of business enterprise. The first suggestion of woman entrepreneur - studied in this research to the others who want to establish a new enterprise is to be self-confident and brave.
