Abstract (EN)
Cittaslow refers to sustainable cities with high level of prosperity that convey cultural, natural and historical values and pass on to future generations. Cittaslow basically emerged from the need for an alternative urbanization against the standardization and speed brought by globalization. Quality of working life is defined as a philosophy that express Not only the physical but also psychological and sociological well-being at humanized working conditions replace assembly line conditions. The aim of quality of working life is to increase the general happiness level of the employees by creating the balance between social and business life; taking care of employees not only at the workplace but also in their social lives. In this sense, current work aims to investigate the situation of working conditions that employees are happy with, that is, the quality of working life in cittaslow which are alternative to globalization. In this context, the scope of research in 6 urban residents in Turkey (Akyaka, Seferihisar, Scratching, Visa, Gokceada, Yenipazar) residing in 38 in-depth interviews were conducted employee. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that employees gave positive responses to all 8 topics from the dimensions of working life quality prepared by Walton. From this point of view, it would be appropriate to say that cittaslow are cities with a high level of working life for employees. Key Words: Cittaslow, Slow Food, Slowness, Quality of Working Life
