Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, some of the weaving tools found in the settlements of Dündartepe, Kaledoruğu and Tekkeköy, which were excavated in1940-1941, with the "Prehistoric and Protohistoric Period Archaeological Survey" conducted in the 2015-2017 and 2019 in the Samsun Region Coastal Section and a total of 50 weaving tools found in the Dombalaktepe Mound excavation were handled. The typological and technical features of the finds were examined in detail, classified, and compared and evaluated with contemporary localities with similar finds. As a result of the thesis study, it presents us that the weaving tools in Samsun Region have weaving activities in the region, weaving productions are made and different type of looms are used. At the same time, the diversity of forms seen in weaving tools and this technology obtained by proving that there is interaction both within the region and between regions; It shows similarities in the layers of the İkiztepe settlement located in the Samsun Region, which are dated to the end of the Early Bronze Age and the Middle Bronze Age (Transitional Period/Er-Hittite). With these similarities, it can be thought that there is a cultural unity in the region. When the spindle weight and loom weight of many settlements in Anatolia were examined, it was determined that similar forms were in a traditional continuity and continued from the Chalcolithic Age to the end of the Iron Age. As a result of these finds and extensive studies, it has been determined that weaving tools, which are the most important element of weaving activity, were used from early to late periods. It has been understood that different thicknesses of yarn are produced in the region and weaving activities are carried out with the weaving loom system and various quality weavings are made.
