Virtual museum interface design: Artist Ahmet Yakupoğlu Virtual Museum application

Internet has become a need of our age both at the personal and institutional levels. Thus; each person or institution performs their actions using the opportunities the virtual environment offers technologically. Thanks to all these developments, each area shall integrate itself into the internet environment.In the internet technology, the interface design, which is the visible face of each design, is significant in that; it has a functional property that enables easy access to information and visuals and it sets a good example in terms of graphic design and aesthetics. Each graphic design has been assigned to convey information to the visitor in the easiest way. In this sense; virtual museums can have the visitor or researcher access the cultural, historical, artistic or scientific information instantly. In this way; it can contribute to the share of the nation?s culture-art both at the national and global levels.Ahmet Yakupoğlu is one of the precious artists in Turkey. In order to perceive his understanding of art and to access his works easily, it is significant to establish a virtual museum by benefiting from the technological opportunities of our age according to the principles of Graphic design and to make it possible for all the visitors to watch it. Based on the assumption that internet usage and the number of virtual museum application will increase in terms of graphic design in the future, the Artist Ahmet Yakupoğlu Virtual Museum Interface design has formed the motive of this research.Qualitative methods have been used in the research. Documents have been studied, photographs and videos have been taken within this scope. Virtual museums in Turkey and across the world have been studied before establishing the virtual museum interface design; the advantages and limitations have been detected. Then, designs have been made according to the graphic design principles, these designs have been revised in respect of expert opinions and applied.
