Özet (EN)

This study addresses the importance of using artist's sketchbooks in art education, with a focus on Frida Kahlo's sketchbook as an example, and examines its impact on the creative process. Art education is an important process that allows individuals to express their cognitive and emotional processes, develop their creativity, and acquire analytical, visual, and critical thinking skills. One of the most important factors supporting this process is the artist's sketchbook. Artist's sketchbooks are important tools in which emotions and thoughts are recorded in real-time, and during the creative process, the artist shapes their inner world, emotional experiences, designs, and ideas. Through these sketchbooks, individuals can track their artistic development and witness the maturation of their ideas. This continuous process nourishes creativity. In art education, examining Frida Kahlo's sketchbooks serves as a powerful reference point for deepening students' creative thinking processes. Kahlo's sketchbooks dramatically illustrate how personal experiences, emotions, and social issues can be integrated into artistic production, making them a unique resource within the context of art education. Therefore, Frida Kahlo's sketchbooks serve as an important guide for understanding how personal experiences can be transformed into art.
