Abstract (EN)
This study has been written to draw attention to the broad scope of the use of glass material in plastic arts today. The feasibility of using glass together with calligraphy, a completely different art discipline, is the choice of investigation of this thesis. The research, consisting of a total of four sections, includes the history and definition of calligraphy in the first section. In the second section, the interaction between contemporary art and calligraphy is discussed, highlighting the transformation of the traditional structure of calligraphy in the present day. The relationship calligraphy establishes with materials is examined through its effects in fields such as painting, ceramics, sculpture, installation, and light art, where calligraphy is frequently used in contemporary art. The third section addresses the artistic features of glass and examines its relationship with calligraphy through examples of artists. The fourth and final section includes personal practices and the relationship the researcher has established between glass and calligraphy. Keywords: Glass art, Calligraphy, Contemporary art.
