Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, drinkable water sources which have critical importance worldwide are also important for our country. Fresh water sources of Turkey are better off than a lot of countries in the world. Day by day, water is becoming an important wealth as much as oil in the world.In this study analysing the present condition, hydrogeological and hydrologic data of Sapanca Lake, which has a unique importance because of being the solely drinkable-water source of Sakarya, the optimum utilization parameters of the reserve will be determined.. Moreover, forthcoming costs and effects of inattentive usage of the reserve in the future will be demonstrated. The way of sharing of reserve of the lake between Sakarya and Kocaeli provinces will be analysed.Evaluating the data obtained from these studies with the necessary alternative projects, proposals for the solutions that prevent the running a risk of the city in the future will be introduced.
