Abstract (EN)
In this study, the clothing costs of the 19th century palace dynasty were evaluated. It has been tried to reveal the clothing difference between the Ottoman courtier and the average Ottoman citizen through the textile merchants serving in the Ottoman market and the laborers working in the field. In addition, market and price analyzes were determined by taking into account archival sources. In terms of Ottoman economic history, the data on clothing costs have been evaluated by taking into account the orders and prices recorded in the palace tailor books.
