Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to investigate the presence of folk songs in Sivas province, Şarkışla region to uncover and compile the unknown folk songs and examine the cultural behaviors of people before technological age. Interviews and description method is used to examination to be put on a paper. In the content of thesis some examples are taken place according to traditional life styles and habits in Şarkışla region and activities to transfer folk songs. Moreover women dialect folk song's examination and two women dialect folk songs compile which is not known before is done. Also tradition of singing songs in Şarkışla region, where and how they were told, and what purpose these songs are written subjects are mentioned. In the selected habits section it is told that ın which situations do women create songs and sing songs. The ways of doing work specific to region, which types of workmanship they do examined than the poetry and folk songs spoken in these works are explained with examples. Creating poetry and song ability, how do they have this ability and how do they use these abilities are explained. In the interview section, interview is made with İhsan öztürk who is Turkish folk music artist who was born in Şarkışla and has knowledge about traditions of Şarkışla region and also intervies is made with Medine Köseoğlu, who is being a source person for the many songs in TRT archive, about tradition of Şarkışla and women dialect by the visual recording, than all the things are written on to paper. In the women dialect section, examples are given to songs which are created by women. sample songs are presented with stories and examination of word and note. Two songs are compiled which are not take place in literature these songs are taken by Medine Köseoğlu. Key Words: Sivas / Şarkışla Region, Women Dialect Song, Traditional Habits
