Analysis of conditional cash transfer for education child protection services within the scope of the socio-ecological system

The socio-ecological approach provides a perspective that examines the complex network of interactions among individuals, societies, cultures, economies, and the natural environment. This approach appears both as a minimum standard in child protection in humanitarian aid and as a theory in the discipline of social work. While focusing on understanding how environmental factors influence human behaviors, cultural practices, resource utilization, and lifestyles, it also evaluates human responses to these interactions and their social, economic, and environmental consequences. Child protection, on the other hand, is a concept aimed at ensuring the physical, emotional, and social security of children. It involves efforts to protect children's rights and address neglect or abuse situations. These protective efforts address the risks, problems, and needs that children may encounter in the society they live in. Child protection measures, services, and policy elements aim to support children in growing and developing in a healthy manner. The connection between the socio-ecological system approach and child protection is crucial for understanding the impact of environmental factors, family structures, societal norms, and cultural dynamics on child protection practices. This approach considers the interactions within the socio-ecological system that children experience, examining how child protection strategies incorporate these factors and adapt to support the healthy development of children. The Conditional Education Assistance for Foreigners (CCTE) Child Protection Project provides a significant research area in this context. Answering questions about whether the socio-ecological system approach was employed during the design and implementation of the project, how much consideration was given to societal and environmental factors affecting immigrant children, and how these factors were integrated into the project's child protection component is crucial for a comprehensive understanding of the project's impact. This thesis aims to delve deeper into the intersection of socio-ecological systems and child protection concepts, specifically examining how these two perspectives interact within the CCTE Child Protection Project. In this context, the role of the socio-ecological approach in the project's design, implementation, and outcomes will be thoroughly researched and explained.
