Abstract (EN)

The study move on my argument that the battlefield tourism is related to peace rather than war and it should be related to the future beyond past. The aim of the study is to put forth a new perspective on battlefield tourism in the context of peace tourism for the problem on how to utilize the battlefields in tourism. In this context, it is believed the battlefields to be hope spaces in frame of common heritage, memory and peace concepts that can bring together the war-torn societies in the past cause of the same war and provide a peacefull future. By way of the researches in Kars province, it is aimed to reveal the applicability and probabilities of this idea. Therefore within the framework of quliatative research approach by the expert and local 10 people were identified by the purposefull sampling of interview method who have visited and experienced Kars Caucasian Front – War History Museum and applied on the basis of phenomenological research design. Thus, by the Caucasian Front War history Museum experiences of notable and local people living in Kars province it is aimed at interpreting the perspectves of participants on how to utilize other bastion-battlefields in tourism by analyzing their perceptions, memorializations and representations of war.
