Abstract (EN)
-Ileum is an organ having smooth muscles and comes just after the jejunum of small intestine. The ileum contraction takes place with the aid of longitudinal and circular smooth muscles. The excitation in the intestinal muscle layer is transmitted to every direction. Enteric neural system is consist of myenteric and submucosal plexus. Myenteric plexus (Auerbach) is located between smooth muscle layers and provides motility. This process in ileum halts by some factors and the intestinal motility brokes down. These factors are mainly inflamatory and cause serious intestinal problems. The former research states that these chemicals in our are absorbed in ileum. There fore, the effects of manydrugs on ileum has been investigated. However, the effects of Ammonium Pyrrolidine Dithiocarbamate (APDTC), Atorvastatin Ca and SG-BENZ chemicals on ileum smooth muscles in organ bath has not been used before. These chemicals are used in so many disease models, and so their effects on ileum are searched by us. APDTC cause contraction first and then dosage dependent relaxation responses in ileum smooth muscle preparates precontracted with Ach. However, the other chemicals produce direct relaxation responses. The highest relaxation response is observed in Atorvastatin Ca applied preparates. After that, the relaxation responses of other chemicals are in the order of CAPE, SG-Benz and APDTC from high to low. As a result, CAPE, Atorvastatin Ca and SG-Benz applied rat ileum smooth muscle precontracted with Ach produce relaxation response but, the APDTC produce dosage dependent relaxation response.
