Schopenhauer's ethics of mercy

Schopenhauer's view of morality reveals a base that contrasts with their rule-based ethos. The negligence of the eying character in the laws of rule-based morality brings with it certain problems. These modern moral theories have been subjected to many criticisms by modern-era philosophy thinkers on the grounds that ignoring one's own self-interest and character suppresses one's emotions. In these moral theories, the forms of law that should be taken without distinguishing the person have taken different aspects of the same problem in today's philosophical thinkers to emphasize the importance of a virtue-based morality. From here, Schopenhauer's morality of mercy, its connection to the morality of virtue, is one of the main objectives of the study. The aim of the study is primarily to determine the concept of compassion as a moral principle rather than an emotion, with schopenhauer's teaching of morality being considered as the ethics of compassion. Thus, this argument, which will give a different dimension to philosophical ethics discussions, predicts a moral order in bilateral dialogues in today's problems. Schopenhauer's place in modern moral theories was tried to be determined on the axis of the views of late philosophosophies on the moral irregularity in human relations in a world that has always developed and changed.
