Abstract (EN)
Due to technological developments and population growth, the energy needs of our country and the world are increasing day by day. At the same time, the world faces the threat of global warming as a result of the use of fossil energy sources. It has been determined that the carbon emission, which is the cause of global warming, is led by the energy and transportation sectors in our country. Electric vehicle charging stations must be supplied with energy produced by renewable energy sources. In the study, the number of electric vehicles and charging stations in Turkey and in the world and the situation of solar charging stations for Turkey were investigated. A grid-supported vehicle charging station was designed for the charging of electric vehicles and their working conditions were determined. The electric vehicle load profile for the designed charging station was created using various analyzes. For the designed solar charging station, using the genetic algorithm method, the installation cost was determined based on the number of photovoltaic panels and batteries. In addition to the installation cost, the amount of carbon emissions for the charging stations and the amount of energy received from the grid were determined for both cases. As a result, the optimization results for both cases were compared and the results were discussed. It is understood that clean energy generated from renewable energy sources for charging is a necessary step towards achieving the zero emission target in the market launch of electric vehicles.
