Abstract (EN)

Solar energy presents significant potential for renewable energy resources, and our geographic location further enhances this potential. The widespread adoption of photovoltaic (PV) technologies faces challenges in overcoming cost-effectiveness barriers. Thin-film solar cells hold the potential to overcome these cost obstacles. In our study, thin films based on ceramic oxide (CeO2) materials, doped with gadolinium (Gd), have been produced using the ultrasonic spray pyrolysis (USP) technique. The USP technique is known for its ability to create homogeneous films and perfectly transfer the stoichiometry of the target material. The produced films were examined using various analytical methods. We focused on the electrical, optical, structural, and surface properties of the films, and measurements were performed with various devices. Furthermore, the elemental analyses and luminescent properties of the films were determined. These analyses provide information on the potential use of CeO2 films in opto-electronic applications. The results reveal the potential role of this material in the development of photovoltaic technologies.
