Abstract (EN)

In this study, theeffects of recreationalactivitieswith self-esteem in sedentarywomenwereinvestigated. A total of 40 sedentarywomen, 20 of whichwereresiding in theprovince of Batman and 20 of theexperimentalgroups, participated in thestudy. The mean age of the experimental group was 37,11 ± 0,63 and the mean age of the control group were; 36.85 ± 0.72. The experimental group was subjected to 8-week walking exercise and the control group; it is not subject to any activity. In our study; The Rosenberg self esteem scale used 10 subcategories. SPSS 25 IBM statistical package program was used to analyze the data. Data are summarized as mean and standard deviation.ThedatawereanalyzedbyShapiro-Wilk test for normal distributionand it wasfoundthatthe data showed normal distribution. ThedifferencebetweentheindependentgroupswasanalyzedbyIndependentSample T-Test. PairedSamples T Test wasused in thepretestandposttestcomparison. Theerrorlevelwasaccepted as 0.05 in thisstudy. At theend of thestudy, it wasfoundthatthevalues of theexperimentalgroupweresignificantlyhigherthanthecontrolgroup in theposttestvalues of allthequestions in thecomparison of theposttestresults of thecontrolandexperimentalgroup (p <0.05).
