The use of pesticides has become inevitable in order to increase the productivity of modern agriculture and to extend the durability of foodstuffs. Many pesticides are toxic and can cause serious health problems and even death if used incorrectly. Pesticide analysis plays an important role in the field of forensic science. Suicide, property damage, suspicious death, poisoning with pesticide use, etc. In such cases, the analysis of these substances and the evaluation of their results are important in terms of illuminating the relevant events. It is very important to determine the nature and exposure status of pesticides, one of the environmental pollutants used in the past and today, in order to reduce or eliminate their harmful effects on the environment and human health. The maximum residue limits (MRL) allowed in animal and plant foods that are not thought to have a harmful effect on humans are specified in the Turkish Food Codex Regulation on Maximum Residue Limits of Pesticides published by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock. For this purpose, there is a need for reproducible and reliable analytical methods with low detection limits for the detection of pesticides or their metabolites in foods and biological samples. Malathion; It is an insecticide widely used to kill insects in agriculture and daily life. In addition to its benefits, the most important undesirable effect of this product, which can be harmful to humans and the entire ecosystem for various reasons, is poisoning. In our study, a combination of separation and identification technique with high sensitivity and selectivity, which is widely used in pesticide residue analysis, was used. As a result of the data obtained after this study, Malathion pesticide absorbed into herbal herbs with sedative effect will be detected and analyzed. In this study, the qualitative analysis of pesticides was evaluated using the experimental method we optimized with the Mass Selective Gas Chromatography (GC-MS) Device, the prepared samples were analyzed, and the advantage of the method was evaluated in terms of the reliability of the data.
