In our thesis titled "al-Safaqısi's Grammatical Choices of Quranic Readings in his al-Mujeed fi Iʿrab al-Quran al-Majeed -An Applied Study on the Surah al-Fatiha and the First Juz' of Surah al-Baqara" we examine the work of the Arabic language scholar and Maliki jurist Ibrahim al-Safaqısi. The thesis delves into Safaqısi's biography, the methodology employed in his work, and his linguistic and grammatical approaches to Quranic recitations. Furthermore, the study explores his opinions and preferences, touching upon his views on language, lexicon, interpretation, and recitation. The thesis is structured into preface, introduction, four main chapters, and a conclusion. In the preface, we provide an overview of the literature related to the research topic, while the introduction section discusses The first chapter of the concept "tevcîh" (interpretation). The second chapter focuses on Safaqısi's grammatical-centered interpretations in Fatiha, and the third chapter examines his interpretations from a morphological perspective in Fatiha. The fourth chapter addresses Safaqısi's grammatical-centered interpretations in Bakara, and the fifth chapter delves into his morphological interpretations in Bakara. The conclusion summarizes the findings obtained during the research.
