Effects on labaur, yield and quality of some training systems in peaches

Abstract (EN)

In this study, in order to determine the effects of Vaso, Vaso Catalan and Quad-V cultivation systems, which are new cultivation systems used in peach cultivation, on labor, yıeld and quality, a trial was conducted using 4-year-old peach trees in the trial garden of Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University Agricultural Application Center in Bafra district on 12.03.2017. Early peach Extreme 314, medium peach Extreme 436 and late peach Extreme 568 late peach seedlings grafted on GXN15 (Garnem) rootstock were used in the experiment and Vaso, Vaso Catalan and Quad-V cultivation systems were applied to these seedlings. In the tested trees; harvest time of the tree, yıeld, yıeld per tree, efficiency of cultivation systems on yıeld, effects on quality of and pomological observations (fruit weight (g), fruit sizes, fruit firmness, fruit acidity, water soluble solid content (SSC) and Meat/Seed ratio) detected. The study was carried out on 2 trees with 4 replications according to the randomized block sex perimental design. As a result of the experiment, when the effects of cultivation systems on yield per tree, decare were examined and quality it has been observed that Quad-V and Vaso Catalan cultivation systems are superior to Vaso cultivation systems. In the cultivation systems on fruit size, the largest fruits were obtained from the Vaso system. According to the data obtained to reveal the differences of the cultivation systems, it was concluded that Quad-V and Vaso Catalan systems could be alternative systems to the Vaso system in this study.
