Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research; The aim of this study is to examine the effect of eight-week basic gymnastics training on jumping, balance and resilience levels of university students. Of the 32 participants that make up the research group, 16 (50%) are female and 16 (50%) are male. The mean age of the participants was determined as 21.65±1.33. Participants were divided into experimental and control groups by applying the unbiased assignment method. After determining the groups, pre-test measurements were applied to both groups. After the completion of the pre-test measurements, the training program was applied to the experimental group for 60 minutes, 3 days a week, for 8 weeks. The control group, on the other hand, was not subjected to any experimental application for 8 weeks after the pre-test application. After the completion of the 8-week process, post-test measurements were taken from both groups and the study was terminated. Star balance test, y dynamic balance test, vertical jump, standing long jump test and resilience scale were used for data collection. Percentage and frequency distributions, Mann-Whitney U and Wilcoxon Signed-Ranks Tests were used in the analysis of the data. According to the results of the research, there was a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test values of the experimental group regarding the star dominant, star nondominant, standing long jump, ybalance dominant, ybalance nondominant and resilience total score variables, while the control group's pre-test and post-test values were statistically different. It was determined that there was no statistically significant difference between the test values. In addition, it was determined that there was no statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test values of the experimental and control groups regarding the vertical jump variable. As a result, it can be said that basic gymnastics training will be effective on individuals' balance, jumping and resilience parameters. In this direction, it is recommended to apply basic gymnastics training to improve the balance, standing long jump and resilience levels of individuals.
