Abstract (EN)
Hamadan, one of the oldest cities in not only Iran but also the world, was the last capital of the Iraqi Seljuks, the continuation of the Great Seljuk State established in Horasan under the leadership of Tuğrul Bey and Cagri Bey in the 11th century. Due to its location on historic trade routes and the convenient cultivation of agriculture, Hamadan city has been an important centre of population for many states before the Seljuks, too. In the our graduate dissertation named ''Hamadan in the period of Seljuks'', the history of the city is revealed by giving information about the history before the city was under Seljuk rule. Later, the history of the city during the Great Seljuks and Iraqi Seljuks rules is studied in detail. Not only the political history of the city, but also the military, economic, scientific, social and social structures of the city was sought to shed light on the history. In our work, we benefit from primary sources and other various works which are related to the history of the city.
