Treatment of diseases and health care in the time of seljuks

The aim of this thesis is to explain how the Seljuk Turkish Tablet is formed and to examine how it is benefited from the experience of different beliefs and cultures during this formation process. For this purpose, we have presented alternative sources of healing and treatment methods other than the health services provided by the state in hopes of improving the patients who were trying to understand the illness and disease concept of the period compared with the concept of disease existing in the world of medieval Christianity. Our work is made up of three main parts, excluding introduction. In the first chapter, pre-Islamic Turkish medicine and Islamic period medicine were studied and classified. In the second part, the diseases, diagnosis, treatment and methods in the Seljuk period were discussed. In the third part, it is explained that physicians in Seljuk Turks, scientific studies related to medical education and health services, and the progress of Turkish sanitary wares and their acquisitions. In the conclusion section, all of these developments were synthesized and the significance given to the patients and diseases of the Seljuk period was evaluated. The scientific developments in the Seljuk period and the health and social institutions built in this period were mentioned as examples of other civilizations and the experiences acquired in health services expressed the contributions to Turkish and Islamic medicine in later periods.
