Arab society interacted with different cultures as a result of Islamic conquests. As a result of this interaction, errors in language and recitation became inevitable. Although these errors in the field of recitation are generally called lahn, this concept; It has many meanings such as dialect, suggestive speech, intelligence, teganni. Teganni, on the other hand, has become the equivalent of music, which is an indispensable fact of cultures and life, in the field of recitation. The continuation of discussions on teganni in recitation throughout the historical process has caused the importance of the concept to increase. The concepts of lahn and teganni, which are the subject of the study, concern many fields at the macro level, but are two important concepts used in the field of recitation at the micro level. Correct understanding of the concepts of lahn and teganni, which are related to each other in terms of meaning, will also contribute to the resolution of some disputes related to the concepts. Purpose of the study; The aim is to reveal the semantic values ​​of concepts and to find solutions to the conflicts that arise due to the problems of interpretation of these concepts. In the study, the core structure of the concepts was determined by etymological analysis using the semantic analysis method. The differences in meaning of the concepts that were etymologically analyzed throughout the historical process were examined through the couplets and narrations of each period. The various and related meanings of the words were shaped within the framework of the semantic analysis method and their value was revealed. After all these processes, the most accurate meanings that could be given to the concepts were evaluated. With the mentioned method, the concept of lahn was discussed in the first part, and the problem of taganni and taganni in recitation was discussed in the second part. At the same time, the meaning relationship between lahn and teganni, which are related to each other, was also determined.
