Abstract (EN)
The process of change in modern Arabic literature first started with the Ennahda movement in Egypt. This change process, which later affected other Arab countries, led to the emergence of new genres in literature. In this process, different themes were handled in literary works. The political, social and economic impact of the great disaster in Palestine in 1948 also shaped the Palestinian literature. In the 20th century, the story genre gained a new shape with increasing translation activities and became widespread in all Arab countries. In Palestine, the story gained a different identity after the Nakba. The story's emergence and development process in Modern Arabic Literature is discussed in the introduction part of the study. In the first part of the study, which consists of two sections, the life and literary personality of Semira 'Azzam, who is considered one of the pioneers of the story in Palestinian literature, is explained, her story works are introduced and the prominent issues in her stories are examined. In the second part of the study, the content, style and artistic viewpoint of Azzam's stories are discussed. Samira 'Azzam's name remained in the background although her short stories have had an important role in the making of the Palestinian short story identity. This study aims to introduce Semira the author and her works. Key Words: Arabic Language and Rhetoric, Short Story, Semira Azzam, Palestine
