Abstract (EN)
We do not have much information about the poet Şemsî, who is thought to have lived at the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century. The poet, whose pseudonym we know as Şemsi, has a mathnawi named Yusuf u Züleyha. This work was written in 1475, with 2750 couplets, and contains the language features of Azerbaijani Turkish, Chagatai Turkish and Old Anatolian Turkish. In the analysis part of the dissertation, love mathnawi in classical Turkish literature are mentioned and Şemsî's Yusuf u Züleyhâ's and Şeyyad Hamza's Yusuf u Zelihâ mathnawi are discussed in a comparative way. Other studies have been made on Şemsî's Yusuf u Züleyha from various aspects. In the second part of our study, it is aimed to interpret Şemsî's masnavi Yusuf u Züleyha according to the context. With the TEBDİZ (Historical and Literary Texts Dependent Index and Functional Dictionary) project, it is tried to determine in which meaning and context the words in Turkish literary works are used together with which words.
