Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the fungi identified which have been isolated from ceramic industry waste sludge had sent by Eczacibasi Vitra ceramic plant on Bozuyuk-Eskisehir road and then the tolerance of various heavy metals of the fungi was examined. High rate of removal of copper, chromium, cadmium, nickel, silver, arsenic, molybdenum, mercury, lead, zinc heavy metals by biosorption have studied. According to biosorption results Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models have been described and the fittest isotherm model for the experimental data have selected. The metal ion binding areas on the fungus cell surface determined by FT-IR analysis. The fungi which biosorpted heavy metals highly have been displayed SEM and EDAX analysis of them was carried out.
