Abstract (EN)
At the present time, ceramics stands out as a basic material used in various fields. Ceramic sanitary ware is an important ceramic material product group that has increased its production share in recent years. Since the production processes of ceramic sanitary ware are quite complex, it is possible to see structural defects. There are many methods to repair these errors. The choice of this method may vary depending on the type of material to be repaired, its region, the extent of the damage and the purpose of use of the material. Due to increasing energy costs and decreasing fossil fuels, the use of methods that do not require heat treatment and the improvements made in those areas have become very important in recent years. In this thesis study, the materials used in the repair of unglazed zone body defects with methods that do not require heat treatment were investigated, selection methods and characterization of suitable materials were examined. According to the test results, it was determined that aramid and carbon reinforced epoxy matrix composite materials showed optimum performance in repairing structural defects.
