The use of ready made objects in ceramic art and personal applications

Ceramic forms have undergone many changes in their journey from ancient times to the present day, according to the emergence of the understanding of art and the changing perceptions of art over time. In the 20th century, important artists of painting took ceramic material beyond its functionality and turned it into a contemporary means of expression in visual and plastic arts. The increasing interaction of different disciplines with each other within the phenomenon of contemporary art has led to the increased use of different materials in works of art. Today's ceramic artists have also tended to seek new expressions by using a combination of ceramic body and alternative materials. Based on this context, in the first chapter, the subject is introduced and information is given about the purpose, scope and method of the thesis. In the second part, explanations about ceramic art and ceramic materials are given, the development process and importance of ceramic art, the use of ready-made objects and alternative materials in art, and in the third part, the use of alternative materials in ceramic art and the works of artists who use alternative materials in ceramic forms are examined.
