Abstract (EN)
Technological developments in the 20th century have been effective in fields such as architecture, industrial design and art, as well as in all areas of life, and parallel to this, the use of computer technologies has increased in many areas due to the convenience it provides in the production stages. Deconstructivism, which emerged in the same period, is a critical and original architectural movement in which the use of three-dimensional technologies is frequently seen. Deconstructivism serves as an interdisciplinary bridge in this study, which brings the design style, which is original, sustainable, futuristic and can resort to controlled deformations when necessary, to the production of ceramic forms with three-dimensional technologies, based on the formal characteristics and concepts of the movement. In this regard, computer-aided design, which establishes a common bond in deconstructivist architecture and contemporary ceramic art, offers a research field in which the deconstructivist approach is addressed with ceramic art by using artistic applications in the design and production stages. As a result of the literature review and application studies carried out within the scope of this thesis study, the historical development of the Deconstructivism movement, its formal features and connections with computer technologies, its importance in the field of art and design, the philosophical style of the movement, as well as its examples in architecture and art are mentioned. In this context, the prominent features of the movement have been identified, and forms digitally designed in a computer environment, inspired by certain concepts, have been produced using mud on a three-dimensional printer. It is expected that this thesis will be a resource that will add innovation to the field of ceramic art with an original and sustainable language.
