Abstract (EN)

This master's thesis titled "Use of Digital Technologies in Ceramic Design"; focuses on the use of developing digital technologies in ceramic design. In this thesis; Ceramic art and design has been evaluated as an art branch that is always up-to-date with the use of developing and changing technologies. Although these technologies are generally thought to be used in the mass production industry, they have taken their place in art. Digital technologies are not limited to the use of designers and manufacturers, many artists have also benefited from these technologies. Technology in art has become a style rather than a material, and has become an integral part of some art branches. This study consists of three parts. In the first chapter, computer aided 2D and 3D design software and how these software and programs are used in ceramic design are explained with examples. In the second part, applications using digital technologies in both surface and form are evaluated. In the computer aided production part; The role of CNC machines and 3D printers in ceramic production has been investigated. The third section is devoted to design and implementation. The food menu provided at a Roman-era invitation was chosen for the design. Using the possibilities of today's technology, a table design parallel to the kitchen currents is created. The 3-dimensional drawings and production stages of this designed tableware are included and the thesis ends with the application.
