Abstract (EN)

The aim of this work was development of photochromic materials for ceramic applications that are used in many industries, understand external effects and at sufficient activation exhibit color change. Experimental studies were performed by using organic and inorganic structures. Firstly, by using organic photoactive starting materials after modifications of structures and with applying optimum coating processes on ceramic surfaces experimental studies were carried out for enhancement of photochromic effect to ceramic materials. Then, by solid state reactions and sol-gel techniques, nanosized powders of TiO2 as pure and doped having photochromic effect were produced. Photochromic effect and the product properties of synthesized powders were determined by optical and microstructural characterization analyses, effectively.
