Abstract (EN)

With the title of the best of the parables, Yusuf parable which has a very special place in the Qur'an parables, affected the humanity with its religious and social aspects. It was taken in hand detailed and widely in the genesis part of the bible. It presents a rich source to literature world. It can be said that the story make a very important common platform in universal culture. Our work is ocurred by "The Mathnawi of the Yusuf Parable" by The author's whose pen name is Serif, which we have determined they are old Turkish literature passages and They are in Uppsala University Library with the registery number O.BJ.22 In the introduction part, with the title of "Yusuf Parable" It was transferred the texts of Yusuf parable in Torah and Qur'an. Finally in this part, Yusuf Zeliha mathnawis written in Turkish literature, were examined in two groups as "after 15th century and before 15th century" and informations were given about these mathnawis The first part takes the title "Serif and Yusuf Parable Mathnawi".In this part, it was given informations about author of the book, metre of the book, sources of the book, writing reason and verse style. However, Because of the the uncertainity of the writing date of the book, it was meant why the book might be written in 15th century. The second part takes the title "Examination of Yusuf Parable" .This examination was examined in two groups as "Interior of Yusuf Parable" and "exterior of Yusuf Parable". In the third part, Transcription letters of the passage and the way used in the translation of the passage were given place. Finally, the result, dictionary of archaic words, index and glossary were included and presented to researchers. Key words: Mathnawi, Yûsuf, Zeliha, Yakub, Old Turkish literature, Şerîf
