Animals in the poetry of Servet-i Fünûn

Servet-i Fünûn Period is important in that it has signed many innovations in our literature. At the same time, the fact that the poets abandoned the process of simplicity in the language and preferred a heavy and waxed language, and the use of unusual ingredients such as "hour-i semen-fam" in poetry caused them to draw criticism arrows. One of its most prominent features is that Tevfik Fikret and Cenap Şahabettin try to explain the melal-filled mood that he takes the lead of. All poets who wrote with the sensitivity of Servet-i Fünun often benefited from the image of the animal while trying to explain their feelings through nature. This situation is not only unique to this period, but has been a place in every period of our literature since primitive times. The frequent encounter of animals in the poems written in the period of Servet-i Fünun made it necessary to carry out this work in order to be more understandable. In the study, the poems of all poets who wrote during the period of Servet-i Fünun were examined, the poems containing the animals were separated by the method of classification, the qualities of the animal in poems were explained and evaluated in detail. As a result of the study, it was revealed how and for what purpose the authors of the Wealth-i Fünun period included animals in their poems.
