Abstract (EN)

Folk narratives, which are a different genre in terms of subject, form and utterance among traditional oral folk narratives, have been going for centuries under specific styles and rules. Folk tales, which originate from narrative genres such as legend, fairy tale, epic etc. are a mirror of socio-cultural characteristics, political elements and way of thinking of a society. The subjects and events in the folk tales are real or close to reality. Extraordinary events and fairy-tale elements are given little space. Some folk stories derive their origins from historical events. However, these historical events may not be a very important event as in the epics. Folk tales usually tell the adventures of lovers. Saz poets sometimes classify folk tales by decorating their own life stories and sometimes the adventures of a historical or local hero with various love and heroic episodes. According to determination of Prof. Ensar Aslan in Âşık Şenlik, this story is based on a story of Şah Abbas. Âşık Şenlik finalized the story by expanding the event based on this story and adding verse pieces to the story. In our study, Ensar Aslan's "Sevdekâr Şah ve Gülenaz Sultan Hikâyesi" compiled by Âşık Kasım and Doğan Kaya's "Âşık Şenlik'in Sevdekâr ile Gülenaz Hanım Hikâyesi" compiled by İslam Erdener were analyzed in terms of form and content. Prof. Dr. Ensar Aslan's compilation was older, it was accepted as the main text. While analyzing this story compiled by Prof. Dr. Ensar Aslan and Doğan Kaya (Sevdekâr Şah and Gülenaz Sultan Story), the method that Prof. Dr. Ensar Aslan applied in his book "A Study On The Story of Yaralı Mahmut" was followed.
